As seen at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2019, Eve Conway combines the songcraft of a country star, writing relatable folk ditties that talk of love, loss and the everyday grind, with the stagecraft of a contemporary urban popstar, featuring looping vocals and a street swagger that hypnotises as well as energises crowds.
Complete with a big voice, a big personality and a big mane of red hair, Eve is an emerging artist whose gritty brand of pop music is delivered with spine-tingling effect. Armed with her acoustic guitar and vocal pedal, she can fill any space with beautiful and inspiring sounds.
In May 2019, she performed live on the BBC Introducing stage at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, before following that up with a BBC Introducing Maida Vale Session and a live set at the BBC Music Introducing Live event at London’s Tobacco Dock.
In a breakthrough year, Eve also appeared at the likes of Hardwick Live, Stockton Calling, Twisterella and Tramlines, as well as opening for Cattle & Cane, Martha Hill and Dan Owen.
Further BBC Introducing support came on the Hot List Mix, as well as airplay from Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1 and Tom Robinson on his ‘Celebration of the North-East’ show on BBC Radio 6 Music.
Her debut single was released via the Tracks/Butterfly Effect Noisy Daughters compilation vinyl, which was curated by Rianne Thompson from Amazing Radio and features a selection of the North-East’s finest female artists.
